Doctorate Title: Identifying and Exploring the Best Practices and Research Priorities within Critical Care Transport and Retrieval Medicine.

Doctorate Description: While critical care transport or retrieval systems have evolved over the years, there is no universally accepted system or standard, which has led to considerable variation in practices. This proposed PhD research aims to (1) define and describe a high-performance critical care transport or retrieval system, (2) identify and examine the current clinical, operational, and educational practices within critical care transport or retrieval systems across developed nations, (3) develop consensus statements with identified subject matter experts regarding best practices and (4) to explore the top research priorities within critical care transport or retrieval medicine (in Canada).
